Travellers, travel-lovers, backpackers or simply dreamers have probably had this thought in their mind at least once during their real or imagined wanderings: what a wonderful world! And this is also the song I have chosen for this week Music in Pictures Contest. What a wonderful world was first recorder by Louis Armstrong and released in 1968. The text is quite simple but powerful: a celebration of life with all its beauty.
I am sure you know the song, but here’s the video… Armstrong’s expressions are worth being seen once again.
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful worldI see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful worldThe colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin’ hands, sayin’ How do you do?
They’re really saying I love youI hear babies cryin’, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful worldOh yeah
Mother Nature can create wonderful things, roses are one of these..
Looking forward to see your entries!!!!
