My interpretation of this Weekly Photo Challenge is a bit different from the one suggested on the DailyPost, they suggest to put two different/opposite objects together in the same picture and show how they merge. Instead, I decided to post a picture where the meaning of merge is not so evident, or at least is not represented in the picture itself. My picture represents an object built to merge or rather connect two opposite things.
As you all know, the Bosphorus Bridge not only connects two parts of the same city, Istanbul, but also connects two continents: Europe and Asia. Two different cultures symbolically merge on this bridge. East and West come together and give shape to that wonderful beauty of Istanbul.

I didn’t know that. Now I have somewhere else to put on my ‘places to go’ list.
Istanbul is amazing! I didn’t appreciate it that much when I was there because of some cultural shocks and accidents, but thinking about it now, I miss it and looking forward to go there again with an open mind & heart! Istanbul is just great, I wasn’t in the right state of mind when I was there…
Another wonderful city, good choice!
Thank you Gilly
